The Greatest Political Evil…

My hopes for a united United States continues to smolder deep in a pile of wasted ash. In the next election I may just vote against every incumbent running; Unless their opposition is too repugnant to pull the lever.

Where are the founding fathers when you need them?

House Votes Itself A Raise

While media attention was focused on the immigration bill in the Senate, Paris Hilton and the fate of Scooter Libby, the House of Representatives quietly gave themselves a raise. And it is no wonder they were quiet as church mice, given their 14% approval rating. This really isn’t a surprise. The real story here is just who are these people doing the approving, where are the pollsters finding them?

Naturally this was slipped through on July 3rd when the entire news cycle was devoted to pitting right against left on the issue of Scooters commuted sentence. If they had bothered to report this $4,400 raise, we could have united with a common cause, left and right, holding hands and singing with one voice. Imagine.
